About Anthony & AZS

Anthony Ziccardi’s passion for photography began early—at just 11 years old, when his father handed him his first semi-pro SLR, a Canon AE-1. That gift sparked a lifelong love for capturing images. He began his professional career in New York City, but in 2001, life took a creative turn when his former high school invited him to develop and lead a photography program.
​
That same summer, a former student asked Anthony to photograph her wedding. What began as a favor quickly grew into something more. One wedding led to another, and word-of-mouth requests began to pour in. By blending technical skill with a natural storytelling instinct, Anthony’s work resonated—and Anthony Ziccardi Studios was born.

In 2008, AZS became a full-time studio. Today, it's one of New Jersey’s most awarded and trusted photography brands, operating out of its third and largest studio space in Anthony’s hometown of Sparta, NJ.
​
After a decade in education, Anthony stepped away from teaching to run AZS full-time alongside his wife, Sarah. In 2017, he was honored with the Best of New Jersey Award of Excellence, recognized as one of the top 25 Italian Americans in Business.
