Anthony Ziccardi- The Head Honcho

Thank you for visiting our website,
I have always been passionate about photography. My father gave me my first fully manual camera (a Canon AE1) at the age of 11. I haven't stopped taking pictures since. I know your wedding is a very important day and I believe you need individuals who will treat the memory of that day with as much importance as you do. You want a photographer who is professional, down to earth, and fun.

Rewind back to the summer of 2001. I was approached by one of my former photography students who asked if I would be willing to photograph her wedding, I agreed to photograph her wedding as a favor. I was nervous since I had never done a wedding before. Everything went smoothly. When I delivered her pictures a week later she cried when she saw them. She was so happy and grateful, and couldn’t thank me enough. A few weeks later I started receiving phone calls from couples who had seen her wedding album, and wanted me to do their weddings. It's a wonderful feeling when I see my clients faces as they open their album for the first time. The majority of the weddings we do come from referrals, and I am proud to say that AZS is one of the most sought out studios in Northern NJ with many of our clients booking two years in advance.

In 2008 I expanded my business to Anthony Ziccardi Studios LLC. A full service state of the art photo studio. In 2010 and 2011 we were" Voted Best Photographers New Jersey " The Knot Best of Weddings and "Bride’s Choice Awards™ 2011 & 2012. We were also voted "Best photographs in Sussex County" by the New Jersey Herald.

In 2012 I resigned from a long carer in education a as Photography and Graphic Design instructor to focus solely on AZS with my wife Sarah. I hold a BFA in Photography and Graphic Communicatins as well as a teaching certificate from Ramapo College. . I now train and mentor aspiring photographers.

I will always be a teacher, it's just in a different kind of class room .

Thank you for your time and I wish you all the best on your wedding day.

Kind Regards,

Anthony Ziccardi- Owner

George Segale - Video Guru

I first began working with video while working on live productions in a Morris County TV studio. After that, I became more and more intrigued by videography and cinematic film making. In my early twenties I shot my first wedding for a close friend and I was happy to discover that I wasn't that bad! A few months later, I found myself at another wedding, followed by another shortly after that. Wedding videography quickly became a favorite hobby of mine and it wasn't long before my phone was ringing with an overwhelming amount of word-of-mouth references. At the time I shied away from taking on too many weddings, since I was in my last year of college and was focusing on becoming a teacher. However, videography always remained a passion of mine so I added Television Broadcast Production to my NJ Teaching Certifications. Now as a high school art teacher I want to expose my students to the cinematic approaches of film making and share my love of motion picture creation with as many people as possible.

In 2002, I developed "George Segale Productions". I offered video production for not only weddings, but also special events such as Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Anniversaries etc. Including the occasional TV commercial and music video. Just as my business was taking off Anthony(a life long friend and best man at my wedding) insisted I join the Anthony Ziccardi Wedding Photography team. A handshake later, George Segale Productions and Anthony Ziccardi Studios merged.

Since then we have made a great team by offering a superior quality product at very reasonable prices. I am very happy to say that, to this day, people cannot believe how much they get for their money and they are whole-heartedly satisfied with our work. 2012 will be my 10th year with AZS and I am looking forward to many many more!

So, let me capture your special day and immortalize it for you and your future generations to enjoy forever!.

Sincerely,

George Segale -Cinematographer George Segale Productions

Sarah Ziccardi - The Real Boss

Thank you for checking out our website!

I have always had a love for Art and Beauty but it wasn’t until high school that I was really introduced to photography. I stumbled upon my first photography class and was surprised to see how much work and talent really goes in to taking a perfect photograph. In life moments pass by so quickly that we often don’t get the chance to really capture the special details of our memories in our minds. So it was very exciting for me to see how all of life’s special moments can be captured in my pictures; allowing me the opportunity to re-live those wonderful times over and over again. I was truly intrigued by this thought and began taking pictures every chance I got. During high school I was honored to be the recipient of the Sussex County Arts & Heritage Award which allowed me to continue studying photography throughout college.

Little did I know that I would eventually fall in love with one of the most talented photographers I have ever known. While dating, Anthony really helped me grow my photography talents and mentored me on my way to being an assistant photographer for many weddings and special events. It gives me great pride to know that I have continued to help others understand the importance of beautiful photographs and the memories they hold locked inside forever.

Currently, I am a Lead Photographer and Business Manger for the studio. Anthony and I were married on April 6, 2010 in Mexico (and we flew out Torri & George to shoot it!) I will continue to use my passion and experience to make sure each and every wedding I photograph is as perfect as if it were my own.

Sincerely,

Sarah Ziccardi - Photographer/Manger/Wedding Coordinator

P.S. I’m also a licensed cosmetologist… which often comes in handy for many of our brides!

Sarah Jean - The Photog Next Store

My love for photography began with my passion for art as a child. Taking photographs, painting and drawing has always made me happy. I was artistic through high school and graduated in the National Art Honors Society. While I was in high school and college, where I received a BA in Psychology, I had worked at a childcare center. After 11 years of taking care of little ones, I got married to my wonderful husband Mike and had my own baby girl and decided that it was time for a change. I really wanted to find a career that I was passionate about and that would allow me to express myself creatively. I have always been interested in wedding planning so I started my journey with these two thoughts in mind.

I met an AZS Photographer when she was photographing a wedding that I was in and we instantly became buddies. I asked her how she became a photographer and next thing I knew, a light bulb went on in my head and I told her that I would be calling her soon! I bought a camera, took classes and let my creativity take off with photography. I practice on my daughter so much that one of her first words were, “CHEESE!!”

I was introduced to the crew at Anthony Ziccardi Studios. Everyone at the studio was so welcoming and friendly. I immediately saw how they connect with their brides and I knew this was where I wanted to be. After my first wedding I was high on life! I am so happy that I have found something that I absolutely love. I feel honored to work for such great people.

My favorite thing about being a wedding photographer is not just capturing image that reminds you of your wedding, but to capture images that remind you of the exact feeling you had at that exact beautiful moment.

Sincerely,

Sarah Jean – Lead Photographer

Phyllis - Snap Happy Mom

I've been an artist from the time I could hold a brush, channeling my creative energy has always been a priority in my life. I dabbled in many forms of artistic media growing up, from clay to paint to photography. I got my first film camera when I was in high school and spent countless hours behind the lens looking for creative angles and framing subjects. I used my artistic talents to put myself through college. With a BA in Computer Science, I used that creativity to design software and solve problems.

In 2000 I had my first child and my love of photography was reborn. Jumping feet first into the digital age I soon realized that the ordinary point and shoot wasn’t going to keep up with my passion. I got my first DSLR in 2005. It wasn’t long before family and friends were relying on me to capture life’s most precious moments. With help of classes, mentors and guidance from industry experts, I learned what it would take to make my passion into a career.

A true romantic, I’ve been known to cry during the “Un Veil” or a best man’s toast. Combine my love of art with my love of romance and weddings are my favorite subject. Weddings are the perfect storm of excitement, emotion and a once in a lifetime opportunity that deserve to be preserved as memories for generations to come. From the intimate moments of preparing for the big day to the joy (and tears) of family and friends to the formal portraits, each part of the day brings opportunity to capture your day using a delicate balance of posed and unobtrusive photojournalistic approaches.

Today I have the best job in the world: Celebrating the “once in a lifetime” Cinderella moments of a bride and her groom at Anthony Ziccardi Studios!

Sincerely,

Phyllis– Lead Photographer

Photo Joe - Stop Or I'll Shoot

When I was growing up both my Father and Aunt used to take home movies & still pictures. This interested me very much and I enjoyed seeing the results of their efforts. At age 11 my parents got me my first camera for a class trip to Washington. That began my love of photography, whether on vacation or family events I truly felt at peace behind the camera.

Now, I am a retired Police Detective but I was able to use my photography skills in that capacity also. Different cases required pictures for evidence or of victims which would help us when the case went before the courts. While these circumstances weren’t happy occasions they served a very important purpose and provided me with more experience.

I knew when I retired taking photo’s would be my goal. It has been my great good fortune to be able to follow that dream. I have enjoyed the learning and education of photography, going from an amateur status to a professional level. The best part of working with other professionals is there is always something new to learn.

Meeting Anthony at a school event for my daughter that we were both photographing was an unexpected opportunity for me. We began speaking about my interest in wedding photography and Anthony suggested I make an appointment to view my portfolio. During that interview with both Anthony and Sarah I realized this was a studio I’d be proud to have my name associated with.

The pleasure of being able to contribute to your memories by being there to photograph your wedding is an awesome privilege. One which I take seriously and know AZS also feels the same. Having moved from Detective to Photographer I now share the happiest day with people. The roller coaster of emotions and smiles from friends and family supply an endless array of opportunity for me to capture that precious day.

Sincerely,

Joe– Lead Photographer

Matt - Double Shot

I discovered my love for filmmaking and photography in my early teens. I found that it was a beautiful way for me to translate my own world view into something that could be shared and appreciated by others.

After attending Rutgers University for two years I transferred to Emerson College in Boston where I studied visual arts extensively. Since that time I have worked on projects on both coasts of the United States and gained invaluable experience in the art form that I love!

Video and photography is my passion and I am extremely happy to have found such talent and camaraderie within Anthony Ziccardi studios. Their professionalism is second to none and I am constantly inspired not only by them but also the people we meet though our work. Being able to use my talents to make somebody's special day even better is just the icing on the wedding cake.

Each project is exciting in its own right and I look forward to creating something wonderful and unique for you.

Sincerely,

Matt – Lead Photographer/Film maker
